Metal Types

The metal you choose sets the tone for your entire ring — from warm and classic to cool and modern. Here's what makes each one unique.

Our Metals

We work with four premium metals, each with its own character and advantages. Every ring we build is crafted in your choice of metal to match your style and budget.

Yellow Gold Ring

Yellow Gold

The most traditional choice for engagement rings. Yellow gold has a warm, rich tone that complements warmer skin tones beautifully. It's classic, timeless, and has been the standard for centuries.

White Gold Ring

White Gold

A modern favorite that offers the look of platinum at a more accessible price point. White gold is created by alloying yellow gold with white metals and is finished with a rhodium plating for that bright, silvery shine.

Rose Gold Ring

The most romantic metal choice with its warm, pinkish hue. Rose gold gets its color from a higher copper content in the alloy. It's become extremely popular for its unique, vintage-inspired look that flatters nearly every skin tone.

Our Recommendation

For most customers, 14K white gold or yellow gold offers the best balance of beauty, durability, and value. If you have sensitive skin or want the absolute best, platinum is the way to go. Not sure? Tell us in your quote request and we'll recommend the perfect metal for your ring style and budget.

14K vs. 18K Gold

You'll see gold rings offered in 14K and 18K — here's the difference. 14K gold is 58.3% pure gold mixed with alloy metals, making it more durable and scratch-resistant. 18K gold is 75% pure gold, giving it a richer color but making it slightly softer.

For engagement rings that will be worn daily, we typically recommend 14K for its durability. If you prefer a deeper gold color and are gentle on your jewelry, 18K is a beautiful upgrade. We can build in either — just let us know your preference when requesting a quote.
